AEG Presents Promotes Chris Hammond to Pacific Northwest SVP
Chris Hammond moves from Las Vegas to Seattle to oversee booking and operations across AEG Presents` expanding Pacific Northwest business.
AEG Presents has appointed Chris Hammond as Senior Vice President of the Pacific Northwest, expanding his responsibilities within the company`s North American regional operations.
Hammond, previously Vice President of Talent at AEG Presents` Las Vegas office, will be based in Seattle and oversee booking and operational strategy across the promoter`s growing portfolio of venues in the Pacific Northwest.
He will report to Brent Fedrizzi, President of North American Regional Offices at AEG Presents.
The appointment comes as AEG Presents prepares to expand its regional venue operations, including the opening of a new venue in Portland, Oregon, scheduled for 2027.
"I`m really excited for what lies ahead," Hammond said. "The Pacific Northwest`s music scene speaks for itself…it`s globally recognized. And the live business is a critical part of that ecosystem. Add to that a new venue coming online in Portland next year and it`s shaping up to be quite an exciting time for us. I can`t wait to dig in with the team and get to work."
Fedrizzi highlighted Hammond`s experience in Las Vegas and his relationships with artists and agents.
"Chris has demonstrated that he is ready to take this next step with the company," Fedrizzi said. "Over the past eight years in Las Vegas, his results have consistently spoken for themselves, and he has shown an exceptional ability to cultivate strong artist relationships while helping to drive the business`s financial performance. I look forward to seeing the impact he will make in this expanded role."
Hammond joined AEG Presents` Las Vegas operation in 2018 and has been involved in programming and artist booking at venues including the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.
Most recently, he led the company`s regional talent booking team, overseeing programming and maintaining relationships with booking agents, managers and artists in the Las Vegas market.
Before entering the live entertainment business, Hammond worked in professional baseball, serving as General Manager of the West Palm Beach Expos, a minor-league affiliate of the Montreal Expos.
In 2003, he founded Rock `n Roll Wine, a business combining wine and live music events. The company subsequently organised more than 600 events across six US states over approximately 15 years.
