ESNS Adds 79 Artists to Eurosonic 2027 Line-Up

The latest announcement brings emerging artists from across Europe to Groningen, with BBC Introducing also marking its 20th anniversary with a series of showcases.

ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) has announced 79 additional artists for Eurosonic 2027, taking place in Groningen, the Netherlands, from 13 to 15 January.

The latest wave of confirmations features emerging talent from across Europe, representing a broad range of genres and national music markets. Further artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Among the newly confirmed acts are Spanish artists Ángeles Toledano and Maria Arnal, French performers Léon Phal and Sarab, Germany`s Rikas and benzii, Dutch acts DOOL and Nusantara Beat, and Ukrainian artists Maryna Krut, SadSvit and I Hate Myself Because.

Other additions include BEMZ and Cowboy Hunters from Scotland, Hana Lili and Hannah Grae from Wales, Vilma Jää from Finland, KNOBIL from Switzerland, Alkyone from Greece, Amphitrio from Romania, TÄRA from Italy and Lelee from Slovenia.

The new wave also includes artists from Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Portugal, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Georgia and Belarus, highlighting the geographical diversity of the showcase programme.

BBC Introducing Marks 20th Anniversary

BBC Introducing will celebrate its 20th anniversary at Eurosonic 2027 with a dedicated showcase programme featuring emerging artists from across the UK.

The initiative will take over the Rode Zaal at Tumult, a newly opened music school and theatre in Groningen, on Wednesday, 13 January.

Hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenter Jess Iszatt, the evening will feature BEMZ from Scotland, Esmeralda Road from Northern Ireland and Hana Lili from Wales.

Two additional English artists, Eaves Wilder and Pigeon, will perform at Forum and Stadsschouwburg respectively on Thursday. Their showcases are supported in part by the PRS Foundation.

Millie Carter of BBC Introducing commented:

"We’re so excited to celebrate BBC Introducing’s 20th year with a showcase at ESNS 2027. Being able to record and support five artists at such a special event is an amazing opportunity."

Showcases Across Groningen

Eurosonic will again use multiple venues throughout Groningen, bringing together emerging European artists, international booking agents, festival programmers, promoters and other music industry professionals.

The programme will begin with delegate-only showcases at De Oosterpoort on Wednesday evening before expanding to venues across the city.

ESNS combines the Eurosonic showcase festival, which focuses on emerging European talent, with Noorderslag, dedicated to Dutch artists, and the ESNS Conference.

The annual event serves as an important meeting point for Europe`s live music industry, providing a platform for agents, promoters and festival bookers to discover artists and develop international touring opportunities ahead of the festival season.
