AEG Presents Acquires France`s Auguri Productions

AEG Presents has expanded its French operations with the acquisition of Paris-based Auguri Productions, strengthening its position in artist development and live music production.

AEG Presents has acquired French artist development and concert production company Auguri Productions as part of its continued expansion in the European live music market.

The acquisition will strengthen AEG Presents France`s activities in artist development, concert promotion and touring, while providing Auguri`s artists with access to the group`s international network. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1997 by Charles Bensmaine, Auguri Productions has developed into an established player in the French live music industry. The Paris-based company specialises in artist development, concert production and touring, working with both emerging and established French and French-speaking artists.

Over nearly three decades, Auguri has contributed to the careers of artists including Stromae, Angèle, Louane, Julien Doré, David Guetta, Jain, Vanessa Paradis, Philippe Katerine, Gaël Faye, Gazo, Tiakola and Sofiane Pamart.

Bensmaine, who remains President of Auguri Productions, will join AEG Presents alongside his team. The company will continue to draw on its knowledge of the French market while gaining access to AEG`s wider international touring and promotion operations.

Adam Wilkes, President and CEO of AEG Presents Europe, said:

"France has an extraordinary depth of artistry, a vibrant live music culture and a generation of artists with real international potential. Charles and the Auguri team have earned their reputation by recognising those artists early on and helping them build careers with lasting relevance. Bringing Auguri into AEG Presents deepens our roots in France and creates a meaningful bridge between that local expertise and our global platform. I’m thrilled to welcome Charles and the team as we build this next chapter together.”

Charles Bensmaine, President and Founder of Auguri Productions, commented:

“I am very pleased to be joining AEG Presents with my team and to open this new chapter in Auguri’s history. This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity to accelerate our development in the French market while giving the artists we work with even greater access to AEG Presents’ international network and opportunities. We share the same ambition: to identify, develop and support artists over the long term.”

Arnaud Meersseman, President of AEG Presents France, added:

“The addition of Auguri Productions to AEG Presents represents a major opportunity to strengthen our growth in the French market. Charles Bensmaine and his team bring unique expertise in artist development and career building. Their know-how is a perfect complement to our existing activities and will enable us to further strengthen our ability to identify and develop local talent, while offering artists new opportunities both in France and internationally.”

AEG Presents already has a presence in the French live music market through its concert promotion activities and involvement in festivals including Rock en Seine and We Love Green.

The addition of Auguri gives the group further access to the French domestic artist market, complementing its international touring and festival business.

The companies have not disclosed whether the acquisition will result in any changes to Auguri`s existing artist relationships or organisational structure.
