AXS Cuts Jobs Across European Business
Ticketing company AXS has confirmed a number of redundancies across its European operations as part of an organisational restructuring that also includes changes to management responsibilities.
The AEG-owned ticketing company confirmed the changes in a statement to TheTicketingBusiness, saying they form part of a broader effort to simplify its operating model and align its structure with current business needs and future priorities.
According to AXS, the restructuring involves a small number of job reductions and a realignment of leadership responsibilities across the organisation.
Reports suggest the changes include a reduction in executive positions in the UK alongside a strengthening of the company`s wider European leadership structure. However, AXS has not disclosed how many employees are affected, which positions are being eliminated or whether any senior executives are departing.
"As we continue to grow, we remain focused on serving our clients, partners and fans across the region," the company said.
AXS, which is owned by global entertainment group AEG, operates ticketing services for major arenas, festivals and live entertainment events across Europe and North America.
Its UK partners include The O2 in London, P&J Live in Aberdeen, First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds and Utilita Arena Newcastle, as well as festivals such as BST Hyde Park and All Points East.
In continental Europe, AXS has ticketing partnerships with Berlin`s Uber Arena and Hamburg`s Barclays Arena. Earlier this month, the company announced a new agreement with Malmö Arena in Sweden, where it will become the official ticketing partner from 1 January 2027.
