Nicklas Johansson Joins Malmö Venue Plan B

After ten years with NGBG and nearly three decades working for the City of Malmö, Swedish live music industry veteran Nicklas Johansson is moving into venue management at rock club Plan B.

Nicklas Johansson is leaving his position with Malmö`s NGBG cultural initiative to take on a new role as manager of the city`s independent live music venue Plan B.

The move marks the end of Johansson`s 28-year career as a municipal employee, including the past decade working with NGBG, which has played a significant role in developing Malmö`s independent cultural and music scene.

Johansson has been involved in several of the city`s cultural initiatives over the years, including Malmöfestivalen, Folkets Park and Öresundsfestivalen. His work with NGBG has helped establish the area as a centre for independent music, arts and community-driven events.

Plan B, located in Malmö, is an established independent live music and club venue, hosting concerts, club nights and alternative music events.

The venue is organising a celebration for Johansson on Friday, 16 October, marking his departure from municipal employment and the beginning of his new role.

The appointment brings Johansson`s experience in cultural development and festival organisation into the management of an independent concert venue.
