GEI Moves to The O2 in London for 2027

Organised by A Greener Future, GEI19 will be held across indigo at The O2 and the O2 Blueroom, bringing together professionals from across the live entertainment sector to discuss sustainability, climate, nature and social responsibility.

GEI was launched as a dedicated conference for sustainability and environmental innovation in the live events industry. Over the years, it has developed into an international meeting point for venues, festivals, promoters, suppliers, production companies and sustainability specialists, with a focus on practical measures to reduce the environmental impact of live entertainment.

The move follows GEI’s 18th anniversary earlier this year and marks a new phase for the conference, which has spent the past decade alongside the International Live Music Conference (ILMC).

GEI will remain part of ILMC’s wider programming and will continue to take place in London during the same week, maintaining the longstanding relationship between the two events.

“The Green Events & Innovations Conference is evolving once again. [...] The expansion of GEI will allow for even greater action and amplification of the important issues of climate, nature and people through the lens of the live sector - from music to sport,” said Claire O`Neill, CEO and co-founder of A Greener Future.

GEI is also working with The O2 and AEG International as part of the conference’s next phase.
