All Things Live launches new Norwegian festival

All Things Live Norway is partnering with local organisers to launch a new two-day music festival in Førde, western Norway.

Laksen will make its debut on 4–5 June 2027 at Festplassen, a public square in central Førde.

The event is being developed by Norwegian presenters Ronny Brede Aase and Tuva Fellman together with All Things Live and representatives from the local cultural and events sector.

Fellman has been appointed festival director.

The programme is expected to include established artists, DJs and a silent disco, alongside other activities. Organisers said their long-term ambition is to develop Laksen into an annual event serving Førde, the wider Sunnfjord municipality and the surrounding region.

“We want to create the kind of weekends that people talk about long afterwards and look forward to returning to year after year,” Aase said.

The festival takes its name from a 65-metre stone salmon sculpture located at Festplassen, which has served as a local meeting point for more than 30 years.

The first artists are scheduled to be announced on 11 September.
