US Festival Bonnaroo Skips 2027

US festival Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will not take place in 2027, with organisers saying the Tennessee festival site needs additional time to recover following two consecutive years of severe weather.

The festival, held at The Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, is scheduled to return in 2028.

The decision follows difficult weather conditions at the 2026 edition, where heavy rain led to delays and cancellations of several performances, temporary evacuations of parts of the site and periods when attendees were advised to shelter in place.

Organisers said significant investment had been made ahead of this year’s festival to improve the resilience of the site. Work included upgraded drainage, 4.5 miles of new roadways and 135 acres of new grass across the campgrounds and Centeroo.

However, following what organisers described as “back to back years of storms”, they concluded that parts of the site, particularly the main festival area, require a longer recovery period.

“The Farm, particularly the main venue, needs a break to rest and recover,” the Bonnaroo team said.

Return planned for 2028

Announcing the decision, organisers said taking 2027 off had not been an easy choice.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, and not one we take lightly, but in our hearts, we know this break will only make Bonnaroo better,” they said.

Bonnaroo is one of the best-known large-scale camping festivals in the US and has been staged in Manchester, Tennessee, since 2002. The festival is produced by C3 Presents, part of Live Nation Entertainment.
