Twisted Sister Announces 50th Anniversary Reunion Tour
Twisted Sister will reunite for a 50th anniversary world tour in 2026, marking a return to the stage a decade after their farewell shows.
Frontman Dee Snider confirmed the news in a press release, noting the band’s enduring appeal. He will be joined by longtime guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda.
Bass duties will be handled by Russell Pzutto, who has performed with Snider’s solo projects, while Joe Franco—who appeared on the group’s 1987 album Love Is for Suckers—will play drums. Founding bassist Mark Mendoza was not mentioned in the announcement.
Tour dates and venues are expected to be revealed later.
Twisted Sister played their last show on November 12, 2016, closing out the “40 and Fuck It” farewell tour. Drummer A.J. Pero had passed away the year prior, with Mike Portnoy filling in for the band’s final run.
While Snider had previously dismissed the idea of a reunion, saying in 2021 that he was “100% committed to not reuniting,” he softened his stance in recent years as demand grew for the band’s return.
The group briefly reunited in 2023 when Snider, French, and Mendoza accepted induction into the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame. Ojeda missed that performance due to illness.
The 2026 tour will mark the first full-scale Twisted Sister tour in ten years.
