Scottish Event Campus appoints new CEO

The Scottish Event Campus - SEC has announced Dominic McKay as its new CEO, effective May 2025. McKay will join from European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) in Switzerland, where he currently serves as Executive Chairman. The SEC, marking its 40th year, is focused on an ambitious growth plan to maximize its venues and explore sustainable expansion opportunities. The campus, which hosts major events and performances, contributes an estimated £468 million to Glasgow, £304 million to Scotland, and £263 million to the UK economy. McKay brings extensive leadership experience from roles in European sports and entertainment, including EPCR, Celtic Football Club, and Scottish Rugby Union. His accomplishments include enhancing organizational strategies, increasing commercial revenues, and hosting world-class events. In 2025, the SEC is set to host notable performers such as Kylie, Billie Eilish, Iron Maiden, and Sabrina Carpenter at the OVO Hydro, alongside key exhibitions and conferences. Preparations are also underway for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, where the SEC will host several events. SEC Chair Morag McNeill said: “We are thrilled to welcome Dominic as CEO.
