Jane’s Addiction Apologize After On-Stage Fight

American rock band Jane’s Addiction has issued an apology following an on-stage fight that led to the cancellation of their upcoming performance. The incident occurred during their Boston concert on Friday night, when frontman Perry Farrell threw a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro, forcing the band to cut the show short. The band was scheduled to perform in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Sunday as part of their reunion tour, but the show has now been cancelled. In a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday, the band expressed their regret: "We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night. As a result we will be cancelling tomorrow night`s show in Bridgeport." The band assured fans that tickets for the cancelled show would be refunded. Footage circulating on social media captured the heated moment, showing 65-year-old Farrell shouting at Navarro, 57, before throwing a punch. Security quickly intervened, escorting Farrell off the stage at Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion. Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Jane’s Addiction consists of Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery. The band recently reunited after more than a decade and has planned multiple dates across the U.S. and Canada in the coming months. It remains unclear if the rest of the tour will proceed as scheduled.
