Roskilde Festival reveals first acts for 2027
Tame Impala, Patti Smith Quartet and Kacey Musgraves are among the first artists confirmed for Roskilde Festival 2027, as the Danish event begins rolling out the programme for its 55th edition.
The festival has announced 18 acts in its opening wave, with Caroline Polachek, Ezra Collective, Karpe, Underscores, Neurosis, Konvent, Drain, Lambrini Girls, Nu Jazz and G Jones B2B Eprom also included.
Almost 200 acts are expected to feature across the full programme. Roskilde Festival says the 2027 edition is expected to attract around 130,000 participants, including approximately 27,000 volunteers.
Tame Impala are set to perform on the festival’s Orange Stage in what organisers describe as the act’s only Scandinavian festival appearance in 2027 and one of a limited number of European festival dates.
“With this first announcement, we are outlining the programme with 18 acts representing vastly different sounds and tendencies. There is pop, hyperpop, rock, metal, punk, hip-hop and jazz, and both compelling new voices and major names such as Tame Impala, who are playing only a handful of European festivals this summer,” said Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Head of Music at Roskilde Festival.
The first announcement also spans several established and emerging acts. Patti Smith will appear with the Patti Smith Quartet, while US country artist Kacey Musgraves and Caroline Polachek are among the higher-profile names in the initial line-up.
UK jazz group Ezra Collective are also confirmed, alongside New York group Nu Jazz and electronic pairing G Jones B2B Eprom.
Norwegian hip-hop duo Karpe will appear at Roskilde as part of what has been announced as their final tour, while Underscores is among the newer acts included in the first wave.
The heavier side of the programme includes Neurosis, Danish band Konvent, Drain and Lambrini Girls.
Roskilde Festival is an independent, non-profit Festival held near Copenhagen. The festival’s proceeds are distributed to humanitarian, cultural and social initiatives through the Roskilde Festival Charity Society.
