Estonian ticketing company PLG has strengthened its presence in Central Europe by acquiring Tickets
Estonian ticketing company PLG has strengthened its presence in Central Europe by acquiring Ticketstream, a major player in the Czech market.
The transaction, completed in partnership with Czech ticketing company GoOut, significantly expands PLG’s market share in the region.
Following the acquisition, PLG now controls approximately 34% of the Czech ticketing market.
Sven Nuutmann, Chairman of the Board of PLG, emphasized that the company aims to unite leading ticketing providers across multiple countries under one international network. "Our goal is to bring the market leaders in ticket sales from different countries under one strong international network to offer customers a broad and high-quality range of services," Nuutmann stated.
The collaboration with GoOut is expected to enhance digital solutions and user experience for event organizers and attendees.
Lukás Jandac, Chairman of the Board of GoOut, highlighted the importance of combining local expertise with PLG’s global technological capabilities to improve service quality.
Viktor Mastnik, CEO of Ticketstream, sees the acquisition as an opportunity to integrate PLG’s international experience and technology with local market knowledge.
PLG, backed by Angel Rose Capital and private equity firm BaltCap, operates in multiple European countries, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. With a market reach of 80 million people, the company issues 15 million tickets annually, amounting to a total value of €300 million.
