Connecting the live music industry
Dutch music venue Patronaat in Haarlem has appointed Nicole Bus as its new Program & Marketing Manager, effective 1 September 2026.
Bus succeeds Hillie Zoetelief, who left Patronaat at the beginning of August to pursue work with Music Boutique and Baba Management, among others.
Bus already has a connection with Patronaat through her career as an artist, having performed at the venue on several occasions. Alongside her work as a singer, songwriter and producer, she has in recent years worked as a lecturer in Industry & Entrepreneurship and with the Popcontact master’s programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she graduated in 2016.
Her career as an artist has included releasing her debut single through Roc Nation and winning the Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2010. She has also worked as a music producer, including contributions connected with Wu-Tang Clan’s latest album.
Patronaat director Jolanda Beyer said the appointment brings additional industry, marketing and live music experience to the organisation.
“With Nicole, we are bringing on board a solid and creative music professional with extensive marketing and concert experience and a large network,” Beyer said. “A warm and inspiring person who fits well with our culture and, at the same time, brings a lot of new things.”
Bus said she was looking forward to contributing to Patronaat’s role in the Dutch live music sector.
“Patronaat plays an essential role in the Dutch pop scene, and I know better than anyone how important venues like ours are,” she said. “I look forward to seeing new talent grow on our stages and contributing to our cultural ecosystem in this new phase.”
Patronaat is one of the Netherlands’ established music venues, presenting concerts, club nights and cultural programming in Haarlem.
