Massive Attack Cancels Upcoming U.S. Shows

Massive Attack has cancelled a series of upcoming U.S. shows, as announced on their social media on

Massive Attack has cancelled a series of upcoming U.S. shows, as announced on their social media on Friday, October 11th. The band had been scheduled to perform four concerts across the U.S., marking their first American shows since the `Mezzanine XXI` tour five years ago. In a statement shared on their official Instagram, the group wrote: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Massive Attack must regrettably cancel their upcoming performance at III Points Festival in Miami FL on October 19th, as well as their shows in Atlanta GA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and Forest Hills NY. We appreciate your understanding at the time.” These U.S. performances were set to follow their August 25th concert at Clifton Downs, which was their first UK show in five years. The event was billed as the "lowest carbon show of its size ever staged," in collaboration with climate scientists from the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.
