Rod Stewart announces final European tour for 2027
Rod Stewart has announced what he says will be his final major tour, with a 2027 arena and outdoor run across the UK and Europe bringing more than six decades of touring to a close.
The 81-year-old artist’s The Final Encore tour is scheduled to begin at Dublin’s 3Arena on 23 April before visiting Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
The European leg will continue through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Poland, with further dates also announced in Switzerland. A 22 July appearance at Moon & Stars in Locarno is being promoted as part of The Final Encore.
Stewart said the tour would “most definitely” be his last extended run.
“The time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last,” he said.
“I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return.”
The announced itinerary includes several major European arenas, among them The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Uber Arena in Berlin, Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Olympiahalle in Munich and Tauron Arena in Kraków.
The touring announcement does not necessarily mark Stewart’s retirement from live performance. Two previously postponed shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado are currently scheduled for September 2027, with Live Nation listed as promoter.
Stewart has been touring since the early 1960s, initially performing in folk and R&B groups before joining the Jeff Beck Group and Faces and subsequently developing a solo career that has lasted more than five decades.
His recent live activity has included the One Last Time tour and an extended Las Vegas relationship with Caesars Entertainment and Live Nation. Stewart first launched his residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2011 and had played more than 200 performances at the venue by the end of its original run in 2024, before returning for further Encore Shows.
