Austrian agency GLP appoints new UK representative

Austrian artist and live entertainment agency GLP Georg Leitner Productions has appointed London-based music and entertainment executive Manfred Seipt as its new representative in the UK.
Seipt will act as the Vienna-headquartered agency’s main contact for London-based booking agencies and other live entertainment companies.
The appointment is also intended to strengthen GLP’s international network and increase awareness of its activities in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Seipt has more than 30 years of experience in the international live entertainment sector, covering artist management, touring, event production and business development. He has previously held senior management and consultancy roles with IMG Artists and Universal Music Group.
During his career, Seipt has worked on concerts, international tours, festivals, sporting events and large-scale cultural productions. Artists associated with his previous projects include Sting, José Carreras, Anna Netrebko, Nigel Kennedy, Robert Plant and Vangelis.
He has also worked on the international touring activities of Austrian institutions including the Vienna Boys Choir and the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.
GLP CEO Harald Buechel said Seipt brings extensive international experience, an established industry network and a track record in booking artists and delivering complex live entertainment projects.
“While Vienna will remain our headquarters, we are proud to have Manfred as a new home base for GLP in London,” added GLP founder and chairman Georg Leitner.
The Austrian agency represents and works with artists including Kool & The Gang, Foreigner, Earth Wind & Fire Experience, Dire Straits Legacy, José Carreras and Gipsy Kings.
GLP has a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia. Its recent projects included Jennifer Lopez concerts in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Armenia.
