Cirque du Soleil names Mark Cornell as new President & CEO

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group has appointed Mark Cornell as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 17 November 2025.
He takes over from Daniel Lamarre, who has served as interim CEO since April and will return to his role as Executive Vice-Chairman, focusing on global business development.
Cornell joins with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across entertainment, arts and luxury consumer brands. His previous roles include senior positions at ATG Entertainment, Moët Hennessy USA, Sotheby’s Europe and Krug Champagne.
According to the Board of Directors, Cornell was selected for his track record in leading creative organisations at scale, delivering financial growth and developing audience-focused brand strategies. Co-chairmen Gabriel de Alba and Jim Murren described his arrival as an important step in strengthening the group’s global reach.
Cornell said he looks forward to working with teams in Montreal and worldwide to support the company’s next phase. He will relocate to Montreal, where Cirque du Soleil’s international headquarters are based.
