Bandsintown, the live-music discovery and event-marketing platform, has surpassed 100 million registered fan users worldwide, marking a major milestone for the company.

The platform now connects fans, artists, venues and promoters across 196 countries through more than 2.3 million live events.

Founded in 2012, Bandsintown has grown without paid marketing, instead relying on organic adoption by artists and fans. Today, more than 700,000 artists and 65,000 venues and promoters use the service to share concert listings, generating around 450 million personalized event recommendations and nearly 20 million ticketing clicks each month.

According to CEO Fabrice Sergent (pictured), roughly 60% of ticket traffic on Bandsintown goes to developing artists with under 250,000 followers. “Our AI is designed to surface rising artists,” Sergent said. “We’ve built it to expand the pie, not just serve the superstars.”

Bandsintown’s recommendation engine draws on billions of data points from user behaviour and listening habits, resulting in conversion rates reportedly three times higher than those from social platforms or search engines.

The platform has also seen rising demand beyond traditional concerts, including comedy shows, podcast tours and literary events.

While most users remain in North America, Bandsintown views its 100 million-user base as a springboard for further international growth.

Sergent describes Bandsintown’s mission as rooted in live connection rather than technology alone. “The purpose of this company was always bigger than the product,” he said. “We want to bring people together to experience the collective energy of live music.”
