Brazilian live entertainment company Rock World has named industry veteran Gus Canazio as its new senior vice president of booking.
He joins the leadership team alongside president and CEO Luis Justo and chief artistic director Zé Ricardo.
Canazio brings extensive experience from previous senior roles at ASM Global and the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. His connection with Rock World dates back to 2015, when he worked as a booking consultant for Rock in Rio Las Vegas.
Gus Canazio said: “It’s an enormous challenge to take on this position. As a Brazilian (even though I’ve lived in the United States since childhood), I grew up with Rock in Rio as an inspiration. I have great admiration for what Roberto Medina and his team created more than 40 years ago – a legacy that continues to inspire generations. I’m excited to contribute and to create unforgettable experiences and impactful moments for millions of fans around the world.”
Rock World is the promoter behind Rock in Rio in Brazil and Portugal, as well as The Town festival in São Paulo. It also collaborates with C3 Presents in Brazil.
In 2024, Rock in Rio marked its 40th anniversary, attracting more than 700,000 people to Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park for performances by Travis Scott, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, Mariah Carey, Will Smith and others.
The next edition is scheduled for September 4–7 and 11–13, 2026.
