Connecting the live music industry
US concert promoter Mammoth Live has announced the launch of Challenger Artists, a new management company designed to expand its role in developing and supporting artists beyond the live stage.
The company will be led by Los Angeles–based Peyton Marek and Kansas City–based Hank Wiedel.
Its initial roster includes The Wrecks, Post Sex Nachos, Valley Boy, TOLEDO, and Capital Soirée, as well as writer-producer clients such as The Wrecks’ Nick Anderson, Jordan Dunn-Pilz and Dan Alvarez of TOLEDO, and James Alan.
Founded in 2005, Mammoth Live is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. CEO and co-owner Josh Hunt said the creation of Challenger represents a “natural evolution” of the company’s mission to support artists in new ways.
Marek and Wiedel explained that Challenger will focus on both live and recorded career development, managing touring, fan engagement, and building the wider teams around their artists. “The common denominator of our roster is that we also oversee their writer-producer work,” Marek noted.
With acts such as The Wrecks signed to Lava Records and Post Sex Nachos working with TikTok’s SoundOn distribution service, Challenger Artists enters the US market with a mix of established and emerging talent positioned for national and international growth.
