Moritz Schneider has been appointed Managing Director of the Sportpark Stadion Frankfurt am Main Gesellschaft für Projektentwicklungen (SSF), effective April 1.
He takes over from Clarissa Böckl, who is set to retire after years of dedicated service.
Schneider, a seasoned expert in urban development and event management, expressed gratitude to Frankfurt Mayor Mike Josef and the SSF Supervisory Board for their confidence in his leadership.
“Managing SSF`s portfolio is an exciting opportunity,” Schneider said. “Advancing the multifunctional arena project is a point of pride and aligns perfectly with my international experience in event, venue, and planning management.”
The Offenbach native views Deutsche Bank Park as a premier European venue. “Overseeing its future and helping deliver a new multifunctional arena for Frankfurt is a unique and thrilling challenge,” he added.
Mayor Mike Josef thanked Böckl for her longstanding commitment, noting, “She and her team laid crucial groundwork for the arena’s planning. With Moritz Schneider, we’re gaining a proven expert whose background in urban planning and sports management makes him the right choice for this next phase.”
Born in 1983, Schneider holds a master’s degree in urban and spatial planning from institutions in London and Paris. He brings over 15 years of experience in live entertainment and international venue development.
Most recently, he served as Senior Venue & Real Estate Developer at CTS Eventim, contributing to the design and construction of a major new arena in Milan. His earlier career includes roles with Stadion Frankfurt Management GmbH, Eintracht Frankfurt Stadion GmbH, and consultancy work with Lagardère Sports & Entertainment.
