Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has sold out shows in Monterrey and Guadalajara, attracting over 190,000 fans.
Her two concerts at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico drew 90,000 attendees, with 37,000 traveling from other states, pushing hotel occupancy above 50%. Monterrey saw a combined 100,000 fans at Estadio BBVA.
The concerts generated an estimated MXN900 million (€41m) economic impact in Guadalajara.
According to Despegar, flight and hotel searches in host cities rose by 43% on average, with Monterrey seeing a 66% increase in hotel demand.
Shakira, performing in Mexico for the first time in seven years, continues her tour in Mexico City before heading to the Dominican Republic, Chile, Canada, and the U.S., wrapping up in Peru on November 15-16.
