ESNS Exchange, the platform dedicated to the internationalisation of European music for over 20 years, will rebrand as European Talent Exchange starting December 1, 2024.

This name change aims to better reflect the platform`s mission of fostering cross-border collaboration and promoting emerging European artists on a global scale.

Additionally, European Talent Exchange has secured funding through the Creative Europe program from the European Commission for the next four years, ensuring the continuation of its initiatives to promote and support the European music ecosystem.

Since its establishment in 2003, European Talent Exchange, which is closely linked to ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), has addressed the challenges faced by European artists in reaching international audiences.

The platform has provided new and emerging acts, including all artists performing at ESNS, with enhanced opportunities to pursue international careers. Over the past two decades, it has facilitated the cross-border circulation of European artists, significantly contributing to their international success.

To date, the platform has supported over 2,000 artists from 36 countries, leading to more than 5,300 performances at 190 partner festivals across 44 countries. By assisting with bookings and generating substantial media exposure, European Talent Exchange continues to play a vital role in advancing the careers of European artists.

Notable acts such as AURORA, Stromae, Christine and the Queens, and Hozier have utilized the European Talent Exchange program to launch their careers at various festivals.

A significant development is the inclusion of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in the consortium, which will enhance the visibility of artists through expanded content creation and distribution.

As the coordinator, ESNS ensures collaboration among all platform members and partners. The European Talent Exchange consortium comprises 23 members and five associated partners, including 26 national music export offices, Yourope, and the EBU.

Yourope represents around 130 partner festivals, while the EBU comprises 31 national media partners, both playing crucial roles in helping European artists reach new international audiences.

Recently, European Talent Exchange added four notable festivals to its consortium: India International Music Week, Safiko Festival, Galway International Arts Festival, and Arsenal Festival.
