The UK’s largest indoor music-first arena, Co-op Live, has announced that Guy Dunstan will join the venue as its new General Manager and Senior Vice President from 21 October 2024, following the resignation of Gary Roden earlier this year.
Roden stepped down in the wake of a challenging launch for the £365 million arena, and the role has been filled on an interim basis by Rebecca Kane Burton since April.
Dunstan brings over 25 years of experience in the live arena industry. He joins Co-op Live from the NEC Group, where he served as managing director of arenas, overseeing the Resorts World Arena and Utilita Arena in Birmingham for the past four years. Dunstan also held leadership roles with the National Arenas Association, including chair and vice chair.
Dunstan’s appointment to General Manager follows Rebecca Kane Burton’s time as Interim General Manager, a role she has held since April 2024. Burton will become Executive Vice President of Venue Management for OVG International, where she will lead OVG’s international business development strategy for its Facilities, Sports, Entertainment, and Hospitality Divisions.
