Emotion
Hardrock
Signed through XTC-Productions AB.EMOTION The band was formed by lead singer, songwriter Mikael Lägermo sometime in 1988 when he and Ingemar Mårtensson (bass) started working together. Shortly after this these two guys together with hand-picked musicians went on their first tour in Poland actually. At the Jarocin Festival, they performed in front of 20 000 screaming rock fans as support for Helloween.
After the tour in Poland the band started performing around Sweden and also made their first recording which ended up in a 2-song vinyl single called "Right on time". In 1991 they also did a small tour in Ukraine as a result of great live-reviews in Poland. The year after, Jan Samefors (keyboard) became a permanent member of the band and in 1993 they went back to Ukraine once again for a tour. 1994 Emotion recorded their first CD-single called "Tip to toe" which led to the introduction to RoastingHouse Recording Studio and XTC Productions.
Mats Ohlsson (drums) joined the band and the recording of their debut album "Taste of grapes" was completed in 1996. This album was released in 1997 by Massive Music in Scandinavia and Shinseido in Japan. The band performed around Sweden and toured one week in Bosnia which was a great experience considering this country`s situation. This resulted in a documentary for Swedish TV with interviews of teenagers about the war together with live performances from the band.
During the summer of 1998 the band entered the studio again to record their second album "Brief moments of peace" which was completed in August. This album is a bit more aggressive and it may be because of the fact that Jan had to leave the band prior to the recordings.
