TEG restructures touring leadership

The changes include Mark Dodds taking charge of TEG Live and longtime executive Tim McGregor preparing to leave the company.

Dodds has been appointed Managing Director of TEG Live and Handsome Tours. He has spent more than 12 years as Managing Partner of Handsome Tours and will continue to oversee the business alongside his expanded responsibilities at TEG Live.

His new remit includes TEG Live’s forthcoming touring programme, which features System of a Down, Icehouse and Niall Horan.

McGregor to leave after 20 years

Dodds succeeds Tim McGregor, who will depart TEG after 20 years with the company. McGregor most recently served as Global Head of Touring at TEG Live and will transfer leadership of the division to Dodds over the coming weeks.

TEG chief executive Cameron Hoy thanked McGregor for his contribution to the company.

“I want to thank Tim for his enormous contribution over his 20-year journey with us. Having worked alongside him for the past 10 years, I have immense appreciation and respect for him and all he has achieved,” Hoy said.

“He leaves a lasting legacy having developed a promoter division with capabilities unmatched across the region, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

New role for Paul Dainty

As part of the restructure, Paul Dainty has been appointed to the newly created position of President of Touring and Theatrical. He will retain his existing role as CEO of TEG Dainty while assuming wider responsibility across the group’s touring and theatrical operations.

Laneway Festival founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio will remain members of TEG’s promoter leadership team and continue their involvement with Laneway Festival and Laneway Presents.

The changes form part of a broader strategic reset under Hoy, with TEG focusing on touring across the Asia-Pacific region alongside investment in its ticketing and venue technology operations.
