Doja Cat Withdraws from Austin City Limits
Austin City Limits Music Festival has adjusted its lineup after one of its top-billed artists dropped out just weeks before the event.
Doja Cat announced on social media Friday that she will no longer perform at the festival, citing preparations surrounding the release of her upcoming album Vie, which is scheduled for release on September 26.
“When I made the commitment I didn’t know exactly when Vie would be released,” she wrote. “It’s become clear to me that I cannot give you the show you deserve within this time frame.” She thanked festival organizers for their support and expressed hope to return in the future.
Festival organizers confirmed her withdrawal on X, adding that a replacement would be announced shortly. Minutes later, ACL named The Killers as the new Sunday night headliner.
The Killers had been scheduled to headline the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in late September before that event was canceled.
