Goodlive unveils new Festival formats Magma and Lava

German Promoter Goodlive has announced two new city-based festival concepts, Magma and Lava, set to launch on August 30 and 31, 2025, at RSO Berlin.

Positioned as successors to the long-running Melt Festival, the new formats aim to offer a more compact and urban experience while maintaining a focus on curated music and cultural programming.

According to Goodlive, Magma, scheduled for Saturday, August 30, will focus on club music outside the mainstream. Running from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., the open-air event will feature a wide range of genres including UK garage, house, breakbeat, trip hop, baile funk, and disco. The lineup includes artists such as Ben UFO, Nooriyah, Jyoty, Crystallmess, Mura Masa, Vegyn, Anz, Suze Ijó, Invt, Anu, and vocalist Alias Error.

The second event, Lava, takes place on Sunday, August 31, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and is described as a platform for emerging electronic pop and dance music. The program includes genres like hyper-pop, trance, hard groove, and avant-pop. Confirmed performers include ascendant vierge, horsegiirL, camoufly, Charlotte Plank, Coco Cobra, Lolahol, dj g2g, Nick Cheo, Peterparker69, IceMorph, Icykof, and lil london.

Goodlive describes both events as “compact open-air festivals” that combine music with food options, rest areas, and a community-focused atmosphere. The venue, RSO Valley, was chosen for its central location and combination of club-oriented infrastructure with outdoor space.

“Both events represent a shift from large-scale festivals to more intimate formats with their own character,” Goodlive stated. “The aim is to continue offering carefully selected international acts and a diverse experience for attendees.”

While this year’s editions are intentionally small in scale, the organizers indicate plans to expand the concept in 2026.
