Outback Presents names Andrew Farwell as President

Outback Presents, a major independent live entertainment promoter in North America, has announced the promotion of Andrew Farwell to President. Farwell previously served as Vice President, working closely with Founder and Co-CEO Mike Smardak on a range of live events, including music, comedy, and spoken word performances across the U.S. and Canada. The announcement coincides with Farwell’s recognition on Billboard’s 2024 “40 Under 40” list, highlighting rising leaders in the music industry. Farwell has been with the company for 16 years and has played a key role in producing thousands of events annually, from theaters to large arenas. In addition to his work at Outback Presents, he serves as Vice President of the International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA), is a 2023 Leadership Music alumnus, and has received several industry accolades, including IEBA’s inaugural Rookie of the Year Award in 2014. Outback Presents, founded in 1996, produces a wide range of live entertainment events, including concerts and festivals. The company is known for its focus on comedy and music and operates across venues of all sizes in North America. Farwell holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Business from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and currently resides in Nashville.
