New festival announced for Berlin in July

Berlin is set to welcome a new music festival, Berlin Breakout, which will debut on July 5, 2025, at the RAW site. The event, promoted by Kingstar Music, aims to showcase high-energy music rooted in subcultural and countercultural traditions, with a focus on punk rock and hardcore genres. The festival seeks to establish itself as an independent and progressive platform, fostering diversity and providing space for both emerging and established bands from the hardcore and punk scenes. Kingstar describes Berlin Breakout as an initiative to celebrate guitar-driven music while building a sense of community within the local and broader music scene. The RAW site, known for its artistic diversity and strong connections to DIY and subcultural movements, was chosen as the venue for its alignment with the festival`s vision. For its first edition, bands including Superbloom, Spite House, Anxious, Love Letter, Phantom Bay, Local Support, Spaced, Shooting Daggers, Stand Still, and Sunliner have already been confirmed.
