Forum Birmingham celebrates 60 Years

Forum Birmingham, one of the city`s most iconic music venues, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a packed programme of events starting in January 2025. The milestone will be marked with cutting-edge shows featuring both legendary and emerging talent, offering a fresh chapter for the historic venue. Originally opened in 1964 as Top Rank Ballroom, the venue has seen multiple transformations, including stints as Hummingbird and Birmingham Academy, cementing its place in the city`s cultural and nightlife history. Now known as Forum Birmingham, the venue remains a key player in the live music and events scene. The first wave of anniversary events draws inspiration from Birmingham’s rich musical legacy while embracing forward-thinking concepts. Highlights include acid house pioneers Fac51 - The Hacienda, performances by Australian DJ Sonny Fodera, and shows hosted by prominent brands such as HE.SHE.THEY., DnB All Stars, Live Nation, and LWE. The events will feature cutting-edge d&b Soundscape audio systems to elevate the live experience.
