Velomax secures future as operator of iconic Berlin venues

Velomax Berlin Hallenbetriebsgesellschaft will continue to manage two of the capital’s iconic venues, the Max-Schmeling-Halle and Velodrom, after winning a new service concession. The Berlin Senate Department for the Interior and Sport awarded the contract for the two multifunctional arenas, effective July 1, 2025, following a multi-stage negotiation process. The management duo, Sybil Franke and Sebastian Rüß, are pleased with the conclusion of the award procedure: `We are happy that the intensive tendering process has been successfully completed. Over the past 27 years, the company has welcomed more than 24 million visitors to 3,600 events.
