Austrian Promoter cancels shows over noise complaints

Austrian promoter Show Factory Entertainment has canceled all 2025 open-air concerts and musical events at Schönbrunn Palace, citing "unenforceable legal noise protection requirements." Previous fines for exceeding noise limits and current licensing restrictions make it impossible to maintain event quality, according to Managing Director Dieter Semmelmann. Over 150,000 visitors have attended past events in the Ehrenhof courtyard, and organizers hope for constructive talks to resume concerts by 2026. The Schönbrunn Palace Group denied new regulations were introduced and expressed willingness to find a solution.
