Glastonbury 2027 sells out in 42 minutes

Glastonbury Festival has sold out its 2027 edition, with general admission tickets snapped up in 42 minutes following changes to the ticketing process and another increase in prices.

The festival returns to Worthy Farm from 23–27 June 2027 after a fallow year.

A separate ticket-and-coach sale on 1 October sold out in around 30 minutes, while the general sale on 4 October also cleared quickly.

For the 2027 sale, buyers were required to enter their registration number before joining the queue rather than later in the purchasing process. This effectively gave each registered buyer a fixed position in the queue, preventing users from improving their chances by opening multiple browsers or devices.

Ticket prices have also risen above £400 for the first time in Glastonbury’s history, making the 2027 edition the festival’s most expensive to date.

The rapid sell-out underlines continued strong demand despite the higher price point and changes to the online sales process. Glastonbury said demand had “greatly exceeded supply”, with cancelled or returned tickets expected to be offered in a resale next spring.

While the line-up has yet to be announced, organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that all three 2027 headliners are already booked, saying the festival team is “very excited” about how the programme is coming together.

Eavis has also ruled out Oasis and Madonna despite speculation linking both acts with appearances at Worthy Farm.
