The band began working in Niš, in 1991. as an
informal gathering of musicians with different
experiences, very soon recognizing the spirit of
this time and determining a clear direction for
future work.

In 1994., »Khazars« continue their collaboration in
Belgrade, with a partial change in lineup, creating
the idea of »New Balkan Music«.
