Longpigs is the name used by cannibals to describe human flesh. But while the band of the same name steer clear of that form of consumption, their moniker points explicitly to the emotional larceny of singer and lyricist Crispin Hunt.

Longpigs played their first gig at The Owl, in Sheffield, and within months signed to one of the world's largest record labels. An album was recorded with Gil Norton, and Longpigs prepared to release their debut album. Their debut album The Sun is Often Out has received rave reviews from the British press and stands out as one of the finest albums of the year.
