Major Music & Event Co. Ltd. was founded by Eyup S. Iblag in Istanbul in 1991. We are basically an international promoter but also a booking agency.

Originally it was to produce events, festivals, concerts, tours and manage and book the artists in Turkey and Turkic countries. Major promoted hundreds of artists including but not limited to Page & Plant, Deep Purple (several times), Jethro Tull (several times), Alan Parsons Live Project, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers (several times), Colosseum, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals (several times), Blackmore’s Night, Uriah Heep, Nancy Sinatra, Therapy, Macy Gray, Spyro Gyra (several times), Carl Palmer Trio, Adrian Belew, Randy Brecker, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden Quartet West, Billy Cobham Quartet, Robben Ford, Mike Stern, Gloria Gaynor, Jose Feliciano, Keziah Jones, Fish, Koko Taylor & Her Blues Machine, Slayer, Johnny Griffin, Elvin Jones Jazz Machine and hundreds of others…

Major also produced Int’l Eskisehir Festival (1995 – 2009), Rock Republic Festival (2005), Yapı Kredi Youth Festival (1994-95), Int’l Bosphorus Festival (1998-2002),

Major booked and provided such international artistes/acts including but not limited to Deep Purple, Simply Red, Jose Carreras, Status Quo, Level 42, Peter Marvey the Great Illusionist to Expo Antalya 2016, Turkey.

Managed such celebrity Turkish rock band Bulutsuzluk Ozlemi between 1995 – 2002. Management also included Bulent Ortacgil, in the 90s, a revered singer/songwriter.

Major also operated the biggest indoor live club Istanbul Live through 2011 and 2015.

Eyup S. Iblag, the founder, is also a radio program producer (Shades of the Blues) at TRT Radio 3 since 1995. He is also the music/content consultant to “Batıdan-Doğudan” program at TRT Müzik TV channel. He plays electric guitar with his rock band.
