Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, Lionel B is an American Rapper and YouTuber. Via his Youtube channel on the Lionel B show, he covers hip-hop and entertainment news on various networks and social media outlets. His videos are composed of audio commentaries layered on top of graphic visuals and stitched together GIFs.
 
Early Life & Education

Lionel moved to Naples, Italy in 1993 at 13 years old, and during his high school years, he won several poetry and art contests as a result of his natural creative ability. He spent many of his teenage years in Italy and Germany. Lionel would eventually move back to the US where he attended and graduated from Bloomingdale High School in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after, he would enroll in the Air Force. After a brief stint in the military, he also developed a passion for music production and begin to hone his skills. As an upcoming music producer, he decided to attend IADT Tampa, where he studied music engineering, camera operation, video editing/production and professional light and graphic design.
 
Career

While attending college, Lionel B started his own music production company and record label, Tight Grip Media. For some of his first projects, he produced tracks for hip hop artists such as Slip-N-Slide Records’ Duece Poppi and caught the ear of Florida rapper Plies. Lionel B also produced a complete album for Saved By The Bell actress Lark Voorhies. He later expanded his company by focusing on the urban entertainment industry and starting 50Fifty Magazine. He ultimately took his work to YouTube where he posted light-hearted and satirical viral videos. Lionel B''s YouTube channel started to gain significant popularity in 2018 due in part to his coverage of the murder of Nipsey Hussle in Crenshaw.
 
In 2018, Lionel B released a viral video regarding Jay-Z, Beyonce and Offset having a heated dispute that quickly reached over 6 million views on YouTube. Lionel B went on to gain hundreds of thousands of subscribers, putting him on top of the popular YouTube celebrity bloggers, and making him the fastest growing urban celebrity news channel in history. Lionel continued to expand his brand, by releasing several mobile apps. The first one was released in 2020, The Adventures of Lionel B, and his new app, still in development, is entitled Lionel B On The Run.
 
During his career, Lionel B has collaborated with popular rapper E.D.I. Mean from Tupac''s group The Outlawz, to release his hit single Let Me Ride to be on his upcoming debut album “The Lionel B Show Volume 1”, which he produced. The album is set to be released in 2021 and features 14 amazing tracks, carefully crafted with plenty of Southern bass and heavy hip hop tracks.

As of December 2020, Lionel B‘s YouTube channel boasts over 343k subscribers in addition to over 85 million views on the platform. His Instagram page also amassed a significant following with over 185k followers.
Lionel B currently has three shows on the live-streaming, Fox Broadcasting Company sponsored network app, Caffeine - For The Love Of The Culture, Lyrical Expose and the Most Valuable Game, a popular live talk, music show where he interviews celebrities. He''s worked with Crime Mob''s Diamond ATL, Turk from the Hot Boys, Marc John Jefferies from (Losing Isaiah, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, Notorious, Haunted Mansion) and more. On the Most Valuable Game show he teams up with co-host Jeremy Mincey, former Dallas Cowboys team captain.
