[url=[officialsite]www.babsan.nu]Babsan (born as Lars-Åke Wilhelmsson, on September 8, 1958 in Furuvik, Gävle, Sweden), is a Swedish fashion designer and drag show performer. He is a trained typographer and art director.

During his childhood Wilhelmsson was a successful contest dancers. In 1979, he formed a drag show group, Surprise Sisters, with some friends. As a designer, he has been awarded with Golden Mask several times for his designs for theatrical productions. He has done costumes for "RENT", "The Wizard of Oz, " "Pippi Longstocking", "STARS", "Karlsson on the Roof" and "Grease".

In 2011, Babsan competed in Melodifestivalen with the song "Ge mig en spanjor" (English: Give Me a Spaniard). He came in seventh out of eight in the second semi final.
