Pedro Luís e a Parede (PLAP), group that was created in 1996, has been performing since then in many cities in Brasil and overseas, with a mix of melodic percussion and strong lyrics, in a show extremely powerful for its energy and festivity.

PLAP is formed by percussionists Sidon Silva, C.A. Ferrari, Celso Alvim, bass player Mário Moura and singer/guitar player Pedro Luís.

The group has four CDs – "Astronauta Tupy" (1997), "É Tudo 1 real" (1999), "Zona e Progresso" (2001) and "Vagabundo" (2004), this last one, a partnership with singer Ney Matogrosso; besides one CD with Monobloco, group originated from the percussion workshops they teach. Since 2000, MONOBLOCO has become a major reference in Rio’s Carnaval.

PLAP’s CDs were released in countries such as Japan, France, Portugal, they have toured there, and in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium and in the U.S. They also taught their percussion workshop in France, Portugal and Germany.

Standing out strongly with their different rhythms mixed with the groovy swings of the bass guitar, PLAP has performed in the albums of very well known artists: Na Pressão (Lenine), Marítimo (Adriana Calcanhoto), Olhos de Farol (Ney Matogrosso), Carlos Malta and Pife Muderno, Takashi Numazawa (japanese drummer), among others.

Right before completing 10 years of career, PLAP has now a show that features only their big hits. After being on the road with Ney Matogrosso’s project “Vagabundo”, they’re releasing “Seleção 1997-2004”, and are going around the world showing the best of their work.
