Tekstene er på norsk, og musikken har dype røtter i rock, men med utstrakt bruk av synth, loops og samples. Dette gjør at låtene får et flytende og "moderne" preg.
Englebarn har bland annet spilt på By-Larm og turnert Norge sammen med danske Saybia. Englebarn vant i sin tid Rock Mot Rus noe som resulterte i et navne skifte fra "Distortion" til "Englebarn" som var navnet på vinnerlåten.

The lyric's are in Norwegian, and the music has deep roots in the rock camp, especially in the 90's rock, fronted by bands like Seigmen, Dum Dum Boys and Kent, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots. The music have a wide use of synth, loops and sampels as a exiting bacground for the heavy and mellow guitars.This gives the songs a ephemral and original touch that has given them such a big fanbase in Norway. The band is currently laying low because of the fact that two of the members are touring the states with another band called "Hangface".
