MERAKHAAZAN is the solo project of french doublebassist Jean-Christophe Bournine (member of Marto ventouz, collaborations with theatre, dance...).

This "one man band" explore the possibiities of electronics and self sampling (using a looper pédal) on a classical doublebass.

Using improvisation as well as more "writed" éléments, the music of merakhaazan is a research of a personnal musical world including many influences from contemporary classic to expériment ambient stuffs, but also radical hardcore métal or "éléctronica like" forms. Dark lights, deep saturations, hypnotic loops, violence and zen passages.
