Welcome to the particle accelerator - where basslines meet smashing beats, distorted guitar riffs collide with effects and matter is created like when protons collide at near the speed of light. Vapourtrail is rock. An energetic, alternative rock with all its complex sides. Electric guitars, bass, drums and a clean voice. This tried and tested setup is re-implemented in its own way and creates a soundscape that is inspired by, yet sounds different from, artists such as Amplifier, Oceansize, Porcupine Tree, Muse, Foo Fighters, Tool, Saliva, Radiohead, to name just a few.

Vapourtrail was founded in 2010 by bassist and singer Michael Siegenthaler and guitarists Florian Graber and Domenico Oliveto when they played together with Stokeseye, a post / metal / rock / alternative / cover band. A long search for the right drummer ended in 2012 when they were musically complemented by David Kissling. They then recorded a demo and played on Swiss stages such as the Dachstock Bern, Sedel Luzern, Hirscheneck Basel and Old Capitol Langenthal.

​In 2016 they were heard by Recorderhead's Stephen McCabe, who loved their sound and invited them to his studio to record their songs. Production lasted until the end of 2018, as the recordings were made piecemeal while the band members were traveling, taking care of their growing families and performing. The album "We Save Heroes" was completed and released in April 2019.
