The Portuguese singer - but with a song open to the world - Isabel Mesquita is performing live the songs of her first solo album, “Ilhéu”, published by MWF - Music Without Frontiers. Composer of the songs she sings, and lyricist of many of them, Isabel Mesquita also gives voice to the great poetry of the Azores, through the words of authors such as Natália Correia or the latest Paulo Ramalho and Daniel Gonçalves, without forgetting another of their greatest lyrical references: Florbela Espanca. “Ilhéu” is the album that presents a brand new and refreshing way of approaching Portuguese music, made of study and research, love and affirmation, crossings and creation.
