The "Buena Vista Social Club" was a great school and like a family for the founder and musical director of the “Cuban Soneros All Stars”, Pedro Pablo Gutierrez. When the “BVSC" was dissolved, he wanted to continue - without being a copy - to save the universal legacy of the traditional Cuban music.

Pedro Pablo has ben bass player for over 7 years at the “BVSC” until 2016. "Cuban Soneros All Stars” is now continuing to give life to themes that identified the "BVSC" as for example "Chan Chan" or "El cuarto de Tula" and others, that have become part of the current repertoire. It is SON from the decades of the 30th and 40th that no one played in Cuba for a long time - Songs like "Palo Monte", "Tumba and Bongo" by Arsenio Rodríguez or "Una Rosa de Francia" by Rodrigo Prats, in „Danzón“ mode - perfect for people to dance to.
