Fernando Vázquez, artistically known as Fer Vázquez, is the main vocalist, composer and producer of Rombai. Formed the band, with their colleagues at the university in late 2013. They worked on the project throughout 2014. In December of that year, they are ready to launch their work, and upload their first single on social networks, entitled: "Locuras Contigo" . In a matter of weeks, it became massive and reached the first places in reproductions, both on YouTube ©, and on Spotify ©. This motivates them to move forward with Rombai, who had started as a hobby and an excuse to get together and have fun.

The high diffusion of "Locuras Contigo" in Uruguay, generates that it passes borders and it is consolidated like success in all the Southern Cone, first in Argentina, soon Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia. In February 2015, they present their second single: "Yo Yo"; Your video quickly reached thousands of views on YouTube ©. In March 2015, the third single titled "Curiosity" was released. In May of that same year, they released the single: "Noche Loca" with the collaboration of Márama, the other band that Fer had formed before Rombai, with a different team, but with all the songs of his authorship. Marama, by itself, had also achieved international fame in the hands of Fer Vázquez.

The success of Rombai, was so overwhelming that his fans asked for more and the talent of his leader and composer did not stop producing successes; so in July 2015 they broadcast their fifth single titled "Adiós". The video clip exceeds more than 47 million views. Also, the simple "Second Intentions" and "I Propose You" followed. Rombai achieved unprecedented success for a Uruguayan band.

By the end of 2015, they consolidate as the most successful youth band, with a rich repertoire of songs that talk about everyday life and love between young people with a modern sound, fusing cumbia with pop. With its slogan: "Rombai, de fiesta", the group captures with its energy and joy all the scenarios where they present themselves.

In 2016 the conformation of the band has changes, with the desire to make Rombai a professional and international band. The Argentinian Emilia Mernes joins , who comes to give her talent, beautiful voice and tenderness to Rombai. Successes like "Besarte", "Una y Otra Vez", "Que Rico Baila" and "Cuando se a Bailar", a super hit that nowadays reaches more than 140 million views on YouTube ©.

The doors of the most important and representative stages of South America open: they appear in the famous Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina (6 sold-outs); at the Movistar Arena in Santiago de Chile, with tickets sold out in its 3 concerts. In the Velodrome of Montevideo, Uruguay, his home, they present themselves making history in Uruguay's music industry. In addition, his presentations extend to festivals and city parties in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, among others. 2018 begins in a wonderful way for Rombai signing with the management company Walter Kolm Entertainment, home of Carlos Vives , Maluma , Wisin , CNCO and many more. They tour around Chile, culminating with overwhelming success in the city of Talca, in the presence of more than 120,000 attendees where their fans chanted all their songs.
