The Gift is an independent band with a sound that moves between pop rock and electronica using elegant arrangements: from strings to subtle analog synthesizers.



Pioneers of the Portuguese DIY scene , they are one of the most successful bands in their country, where they have been number 1 with a multitude of hits. The powerful and versatile voice of Sonia Tavares is perhaps its most emblematic feature, although both the media and the fans agree that it is on the stage where the band shows its best with a show as energetic as surprising and sophisticated , which adapts itself to all formats: festivals, stadiums or more intimate spaces such as theaters or small halls.



The Gift have played throughout Europe , toured the USA and Canada several times and visited Australia and Asia , but it is in Spain and Brazil where the band is more consolidated outside their country of origin: Portugal, where they accumulate Gold Records and Platinum and numbers 1 on the radios. After working with producers like Howie B and Ken Nelson, in 2017 they present what the band considers their best album so far, produced and co-composed by Brian Eno and mixed by Flood : Altar .
