Mbijana is a poet, songwriter and guitarist whose artistic abilities started emerging at a young age. The music that he writes is influenced by the colours of life, both the dark and the light; in his songs you will find stories of hardship as well as stories of love while his lyrics approach cast a critical eye on society.

Born on the south coast of Durban, South Africa, in a village called Madwaleni, Mbijana spent his childhood there before moving to Mlazi where he received his education. Due to the political turmoil in South Africa during these years Mbijana was forced to move back to Madwaleni and not long after that the family moved to Newlands West Township.
