South African band Abavuki have been playing their infectious upbeat grooves for two decades, touring to 13 countries and releasing 5 albums. They have performed for crowds ranging from 100 to 40 000 people and the reaction is always phenomenal - their connection to rhythm, joy and life resonates with all cultures and gets everyone dancing!

All talented multi-instrumentalists, the band plays traditional African instruments (drums, percussion & marimbas) overlaid with brass (trumpet & trombone) to create their unique, vibrant & contemporary Mzansi sound, firmly based on African music principles & influenced by kwaito, jazz and Latin American rhythms.
